OOC
--Do not flame others.
-- Do not badger others with PM's, especially staff.
--For C-box rules, see the C-box.

IC
--Please stay in character at all times.
--Remember, if a character bashes another, don't take it personally, it's just for pretend.
--Internships are usually only a year long.
--Doctors serve a 10 year residency before becoming an attending. Not everyone can be an attending at once, so be careful with originals.

Role playing
--The site is open to everyone beginners to advanced.
--If you are a beginner and have questions, don't be afraid to ask someone.
--All posts should be made in third person, remember we are the narrators of someone's actions and words.
--All posts should be at least one solid paragraph of five or more sentences. This is really easy to do. One lining is sloppy and it makes it hard for the other person to reply to. You can include thoughts, emotions, even a bit of history to elongate your post. Again, if you have any trouble, just ask.
--Please use correct grammar and spelling. No one is perfect so, we know there will be errors here and there as we make them ourselves. Please try to at least, and read over your posts to make sure you've got everything you wanted in you post and to check to make sure it's understandable. Use the spell check button, it's there for a reason.
--No Mary-Sues/Gary-Stu's. Nobody is perfect, so no character is perfect.
--Be realistic. We all have our bad days but, don't do something to your character like they got robbed, lost all their money in a house fire, and then got hit by a bus. That is just too much.
--If you are going to have a thread, that's rather graphic, please put the rating in the title if it is above PG-13, (i.e. R, M...). Then, anyone else can read at their discretion.

Other
--After registering, please change your display name to you're characters name; first name and then last. It will be easier for staff to know who you're applying for and net type names (ex. dane_girl4ever) are just annoying and not appropriate.
--Graphics. At least have an avatar no larger than 100x100. You can have bother one avatar and one signature that is no bigger than 500x400. There shouldn't be any stretching of pages because you want to have a huge picture as a sig. That's a no no, if it happens, that picture will be deleted by staff and you will be warned. This isn't a graphics site, it's an RP site. Plus, big graphics are distracting.
--You get a total of three warnings for policy breaking. After three, you are permanently banned from the site.

Note; Rules are subject to change at any time by SS staff. Oh, and please put sphygmoplethysmograph in the appropriate spot in you app. Yes, that's a real medical word. It is an instrument used to measure and record the pulse and blood flow in a limb - in case you were wondering. This will probably change too, to more fancy medical terms - because I (margie) know them.
